Aussie wins UFC “Performance of the Night” bonus on Fight Island and just put the whole division on Notice.

You might not know the name Jimmy "The Brute" Crute, but get ready to see this Aussie youngsters name on UFC fight cards for a while to come.

Fighting out of Bendigo Victoria, this 24 year old light heavyweight, who began his MMA career in 2016, has absolute canons hanging off his shoulders displaying some of that knock out power with his first round KO of Modestas Bukauskas at UFC Fight Island 6 in Abu Dhabi earring him a "Performance of the Night" win and a cool $50,000 bonus decided by UFC President Dana White.

With 2 minutes to go in the first round, Crute dropped his opponent with a right square hit to the jaw cleaner than an Ajaxed Floor, then followed it up with 2 more swipes with the last assuring the win and forcing the ref to step in and stop the fight.

Showing the savvy of a veteran, Crute jumped the cage, walked right over to Dana at ringside after the vicious KO, dabbed up the UFC boss and had a look in his eye like "yeah, that was a 50k knock son"

Crute boasts an impressive 12-1 MMA record with his only loss coming by submission in Sep 2019 at the hands of Misha Cirkunov. The UFC light heavyweight division is kind of starved of talent right now and Crute has positioned himself beautifully in his pursuit of UFC gold to bring home to Australia.

He's not just a power hitter either. Crute has mixed up his MMA wins with 5 knockouts, 4 submissions and enough of a tank to win 3 by going the distance and seeing the judges decisions.

The bottom line is we have a legitimate “bad ass” on the aussie UFC roster with poster boy homegrown looks and enough swagger on the microphone to call out the fighter he wants next in the octagon with a sly look into camera “Nikita Krylov...what do you want”?

Interviewing him post match in the ring, UFC legend Daniel Cormier gave him a resounding…….”MY MAN’!
